INNOVATIVE ROPEWAYS
CDC Chain Drive Crane GmbH developed Air Bridge innovative passenger, cargo and cargo-passenger ropeways. Air Bridge represents a cost-effective and technological solution which can serve as an alternative to bridges, ferries, crossings, winter roads and traditional ropeways.

In comparison with traditional circulating and reversible ropeways, economic efficiency is achieved in particular by reducing the number of linear poles, reducing energy consumption and adjusting the rolling stock wherever necessary.

The construction and operation of Air Bridge requires on average 3 times less capital expenses (CAPEX) and up to 70% lower operating expenses (OPEX), when compared to other ropeways with similar characteristics.
UNIVERSAL MODULE
All Air bridge passenger, cargo and cargo-passenger ropeways are based on a universal Air Bridge self-propelled module with autonomous engine and winches. It operates as a carrier for cargo, cabin or platform. The module can operate on electric, diesel or hybrid engines. It can also be used as a backup power source.
UNIQUE TECHNOLOGY
Air Bridge ropeways use innovative equipment which acts as a self-propelled mechanism moving over the track (static) rope. This unique technology-based equipment is developed by leading European engineers. It has no equivalents in its market segment, has an international patent WO2017064014 and includes 52 innovations.

Production is based in South Tyrol, Italy. All manufactured equipment complies with the Regulation (EU) 2016/424 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cableway installations, which ensures high quality standards and safety requirements.

The universal Air Bridge module is designed by a renowned design bureau and engineering company, ItalDesign, which specializes in vehicle and automobile design (Audi, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.).
